"Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter."

Martin Luther King

In our conversations with legislators and policy advocates, one message is consistently

loud and and consistently clear - we will not see the level of policy debate and action

this problem requires if voters continue to stay silent. If you think that legislators believe

that a majority of Vermont voters support bold action on climate change, think again.

So, if you want to things to change, speak up.

Otherwise, don't expect much to change.

And, we will continue to "kick the can down the road."

Four key things that keep people from engaging:

  1. "I'm not sure where to start."

  2. "I'm not comfortable talking to legislators."

  3. "I don't know enough about the bills being debated."

  4. "I don't have time."

This page has ideas, suggestions, and resources to help you on 1-3.

The fourth one is in your court.
